Common workflows

A) Create a one-time expense

Use this for packaging supplies bought ad-hoc, market booth fees, tools, subscriptions (if not recurring), etc.

B) Create a recurring expense template

Use recurring expenses for repeating costs (rent, software subscriptions, kitchen rental, etc.). This keeps your records consistent and reduces manual work.

Tips / common gotchas

  • If you want clean analytics, be consistent with categories and memos.
  • If something is truly “cost of goods” (ingredients/packaging), record it as a Purchase when possible so inventory and costing stay aligned.
